My mini-career as a Skincare spokesperson!

In early 2018, I received an unexpected email from a familiar and reputable direct marketing company based in Los Angeles. Since I would be in LA, they wanted to chat. It was just coffee. They wanted to see what I thought of a skin care line that improved dry crepey skin. I thought it was a great idea, my patients would love a crepey skin solution! At the time they were struggling with creating a name for this miracle cream. They had been calling it β€œcrepey skin something”, just a working title but they didn’t think that something like β€œcrepey skin cream” would work commercially. In fact the word crepey seemed to these young fresh faced professionals to be unacceptable. To me, a woman of a certain age, who lives in the desert and treats the skin of similar people, crepey seemed perfect! I am all about transparancy so why hide the ugly truth? Skin gets crepey, why not brag about the solution! They weren’t so sure so we parted ways and I didn’t give it much thought.

A year or so later a full glitz informercial was airing seemingly all over cable tv with ageless actress Jane Seymour and famed TV doc Andrew Ordon from β€œThe Doctors”. I admit, I felt a bit of pride (deserved or not) that they went with the name: Crepe Erase!!

A couple of years rolled by and in 2018 I got another email, this time a casting call!! Awesome, when I was a kid I wanted to be an actress but due to a lack of acting talent I had shifted my focus elsewhere. Anyway, they wanted me to be the new tv doc! Excited as I was there was much trepidation. I absolutely would not be comfortable singing the praises of a product unless I fully believed in it. What followed were reams of data on ingredients, and piles of scientific studies and reports. I read up and then asked to talk to the scientist working on the product, which I did.

Bottom line, I became comfortable with singing the products praises. I love the product, love the science and ended up doing some quick cameos on a couple of informercials. And I loved being on a real tv production set!

Me at my β€œtv desk” in LA with Crepe Erase

Here is a little of what I know of Crepe Erase and why I like it (and, yes, I do use it!) It is formulated specifically to target crepey skin of course. Crepey skin is named for crepe paper, which has a bunch of little wrinkles. Crepey skin in people, as you would expect, has a bunch of little wrinkles usually on thin delicate skin. It is mostly seen on arms, legs, neck and decollete.

The signature ingredient in Crepe Erase is TruFirm Complex (a combination of botanicals) along with peptides and super hydrators as well as a myriad of other good stuff. When you use Crepe Erase what you see is a gradual improvement in the appearance of crepiness as the skin is hydrated and nourished. Elastin restoration is supported and skin looks better!

As for my career change….not to worry, I will not be leaving my day job (Aesthetic Dermatologist)anytime soom, just thought it would be fun to branch out a little bit :).
